Dr. Nicholas Navin
Dr. Navin conducted his Ph.D. studies at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory through a joint program with Stony Brook University. During his postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Michael Wigler, he developed a single cellsequencing method to study copy number evolution in breast cancer (Navin et al. 2011, Nature). Dr. Navin is now an assistant professor at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in the department of Genetics with a joint appointment in the department of Bioinformatics. The Navin laboratory is interested in understanding clonal diversity and genome evolution in human tumors by sequencing individual cancer cells.
